Brief -
Unit Nine needed a campaign for their upcoming summer event listings. Ther goal was to play homage to the theme of underground music culture and build character based on this, tie the campaign in with the existing venue identity and focus on bold, bright, striking visual design.
Development -
The focus was on the concept of electronic music culture and Unit Nine’s origins and location. This was key in establishing character and building a link between a simple, bold, urban lead design campaign and the venue’s roots to Wolverton and its surrounding infrastructure, creating a balance between honouring venue and appealing to its demographic.
Answer -
The end result was a bold, street led campaign that was directed at the venues key demographic. The series merged the subject of club & sound system culture and an industrial themed aesthetic with a key link to the venues significant location - in this case using the famous railway engine sheds as a base to build a simple but notable outcome that merged heritage with contemporary design.
