Brief -
Foundry, an interior architectural detail company, required a unified brand identity across both digital and print that felt strong, consistent, and reflective of its commitment to precision, craftsmanship, and contemporary design.
Development -
Foundry was influenced by interior architectural photography, clean lines, floorplan-inspired layouts and minimal compositions. It was important for Foundry to feel rigid and structured, and the development stages incorporated the use of a strong grid system to make both print and digital outcomes feel precise and accurate, with smaller details influenced by instruction manuals and engineering CAD drawings.
Outcome -
Foundry's outcome was an identity that showed strength, craftsmanship and consistency across both digital and print outcomes. An earthy colourscheme combined with a layout which emphasised negative space and rigidness helped Foundry feel both warm and precise, reflecting the influence from architecture and framework-led layout. Although the majority of outcomes were digital-based, with a focus on social media, it was key for the identity to be developed as a unified system that ensured consistency across both print and digital outcomes.
