A 2024 International Society of Typographic Designers entry & winner, Breach aims to highlight the actions and implications of data loss, focusing on the concept of whistleblowing.
Breach is designed around the idea of alteration and modification, its aesthetic is broken and edited, designed and laid-out in such a way that suggests a post-production change with a disjointed structure which resembles the information given to us, the public, which is not always the truth.
Divided into several chapters, Breach delves into the complexities and significance of whistleblowing. Through a collection of interviews and transcripts, the book examines high-profile whistleblowers who exposed critical information related to data breaches, leading to the uncovering of corruption and illegal activities on a global scale. around the world.
The book's aesthetic aims to replicate the theme of data which has been breached through whistleblowing or modified by dishonest organisations. Everything within Breach - it's paper stock, binding, colour, image alteration, typography, layout and paper colour all have value, and in one way or another relate to the idea of  modification and the courageous act of whistleblowing.
